Mayence Music Management
Johannes Christ was born in Mainz (Germany) in 1995 and received his first music lessons at an early age. First on the cello, later also on the oboe. After preparatory training at the "Peter-Cornelius-Konservatorium" in Mainz and a junior course at "Hochschule der Musik und darstellenden Künste" in Frankfurt/Main, he studied orchestral music with a major in oboe at the "Hochschule für Musik Mainz". This was followed by guest appearances in the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Mainz and the Beethoven Orchester Bonn, as well as extensive freelance concert work in the orchestra and as a chamber musician. He played under well-known conductors such as Sian Edwards, Gürer Aykal, Johannes Klumpp, Evan Christ, Prof. Gernot Sahler, Prof. Wolfram Koloseus, Ewa Strusinska, Heribert Beissel, Thomas Wise and Hermann Bäumer. National and international concert tours have taken him across Germany, to France, Poland, Italy, Bulgaria, Austria, Liechtenstein, Kuwait, Namibia, Sweden, Iceland, Turkey and Switzerland. He has already given concerts in important concert halls such as the Staatstheater Mainz, the Rhein-Mosel-Halle Koblenz, the Kurhaus Wiesbaden, the theaters in the cities of Ankara, Izmir and Istanbul, the Liederhalle Stuttgart, the Rudolf-Oetker-Halle Bielefeld, the Glocke Bremen, the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, the Landesfunkhaus Hannover, the Meistersingerhalle Nuremberg and the Beethovenhalle Bonn. Johannes Christ also took international master classes, including with Gregor Witt (Staatskapelle Berlin), Nicholas Daniel (Hallé Orchestra), Prof. Hansjörg Schellenberger (former Berlin Philharmonic), Maurice Bourgue (Orchestre de Paris), Prof. Washington Barella (former SWR -Symphony Orchestra, Berlin University of the Arts) and with Prof. Fabian Menzel.

In 2016 he joined the administration of the Private Musikschule Laubenheim gGmbH together with his brother Manuel Christ, and later founded the artist and concert agency Mayence Music Management also together with Manuel Christ. Since 2020 he has also been working as a high school teacher in music at the Bischöfliches Willigis-Gymnasium.

In addition to teaching in general and on the oboe and chamber music in particular, Johannes Christ leads numerous youth ensembles, including the Laubenheim wind ensemble and the youth band of the Ober-Olm Quartet Association, is musical director of the semi-professional string orchestra Kammermusikensembles Laubenheim (KAMEL) and freelances as a composer and arranger. His arranging orders now come from home and abroad and focus primarily on arrangements for amateur and student ensembles and professional arrangements for string orchestras. But numerous vocal works and arrangements also demonstrate a wide range of interest.
